Accommodation for People Living with Dementia

  • At Prosperity Health, we provide supported accommodation for people living with dementia. A diagnosis of dementia should never mean a person loses their home, their dignity or their sense of self. Our homes are calm, safe and genuinely homelike, and our support is built around the person, not the diagnosis.

  • Dementia changes how a person experiences the world. It does not change their need for familiarity, gentle routine, respect and connection. We support each person with patience and skill, in an environment designed to ease confusion and distress. That means a calm and predictable daily routine, quiet and low-stimulation homes, consistent staff who take the time to know each person, meaningful daily activities, and respect for each person's choices, privacy and dignity at all times.

  • Good dementia care depends on real knowledge. Our Director, Kenn Mabagos, and our Operations Manager, Merina Shrestha, are both Registered Nurses, and are currently completing the Certificate in Advanced Dementia Care with Dementia Australia, the national peak body for dementia. We also liaise and train with Dementia Australia on an ongoing basis, so our team understands the condition and knows how to respond with care, calm and confidence.
  • We work closely with families, hospitals, NDIS planners and health professionals, so that care stays consistent, connected and centred on the person. If you are looking for supported dementia accommodation for a family member, or you are a hospital or NDIS team seeking a placement, we would be glad to talk with you. Call us on (02) 7226 1300 or email info@prosperityhealth.net.au.

Supported Independent Living to suit you

Every person living with dementia is different, and the support we provide is personal. We take the time to learn each person's story, the people who matter to them, the routines that bring comfort and the things that bring them joy. We keep a high staff to participant ratio, so support is calm, unhurried and genuinely attentive. Our aim is a home that feels like home, with space, tranquility and a steady daily rhythm that helps each person feel settled and safe.
Supported Independent Living
At Prosperity Health, our supported homes are designed to lift the quality of life of people living with dementia. Our support staff guide each day with familiar routines, meaningful activities and gentle encouragement, and we look after the whole person, including health, daily living, social connection and family relationships. Each person feels safe, settled, valued and included. Choices, independence and privacy are always respected, so the household feels like a family and every person can live life as fully as possible.

Our Experienced Team

Our team is trained in dementia care and supported by a network of allied health professionals. We provide individually designed care, planned with each person and the people who know them best. Each person has access to physiotherapists, podiatrists, speech therapists, dietitians, occupational therapists and psychologists, so health and wellbeing are looked after in a coordinated way.
